It's the weekend!

It's the weekend!!! As is apparent by us taking the night off!

Yesterday's news: Damn, yesterday's news in the morning? What are we, a newspaper? Nah, just college kids.

Anyways, the BAC reported that swine flu has reached La Salle. It's predicted that the pigs will take about 12 hours to make their way down Broad Street, so the flu should be arriving at Temple at approx. 1 pm. today. Don't pet the piggies.

Also, take a look at this article about a 9/11 ceremony held at Ambler's campus. May have missed it, but did main campus do anything like this? Hmm.

For weather, we have a high of 67 and a low of 62 today. Weather.com also predicts a 50% chance of rain...that's some good meteoroliging right there. Tomorrow should be a little bit warmer with a high of 80 and low of 62, and also a little sunnier.

Picks around the city: The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe starts today, which showcases local art talent and has relatively cheap prices. Wouldn't make a bad city adventure. Runs til next Saturday. Also, peep this Temple News article about Temple students who have a part in this.

On Sunday, head to GreenFest Philly on South Street. Live music, organic food, eco-movies, and shout outs to local green efforts. If all else fails, you can just walk around South street.

Of course the Phils have one game tonight and a double header tomorrow against those muddling Mets at CBP, so grab some standing room only if you want. Warning: Moyer and Kendrick will be pitching.

In our own sports, you can watch the women's soccer team take on Albany Sunday at 4 at Ambler and the field hockey team take on Rutgers at 5 on Sunday at Drexel's Buckley field.

Unless something pressing comes up, we'll see ya Monday morning.
Wash your damn hands!

Too bad the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival is $25 (or $15 for students) per ticket. I really want to go to that "fatebook" show.
