Humpday, you're losing your charm.

Usually by the second week of school, humpday has lost all of its charm and has become the second most hated day of the week, after Muundays of course. However, due to the four day week it doesn't pack quite the punch it usually does. Next week Wednesday, next week.

Weather: Shitty. Low 70's and cloudy by day, low 60's and scattered rain by evening and night.

Good stuff from the Temple Today:

"Advising as teaching and learning:" Temple is hosting a workshop to teach advisers how to advise students. Gee, I wonder why that is? Oh wait, it's because everybody has been complaining about advising since we've all been in college. The only question is why isn't this mandatory?

"Service immersion program info:" Learn about service immersion trips and travel to places where people need help in order to....help them. Beats mowing lawns.

Since there is little on the schedule and no sports today, and since we're already fed up with football, we'd like to take a moment to discuss how friggin' ridiculous Temple B-ball's schedule is this year, in order of ridiculousness:

+ Kansas, very well the #1 preseason team in the nation, comes to the LC on Jan. 2.
+ Villanova, Big 5 foe, last year's Final Four participant, and school with a better football team than us, will visit the LC on December 13.
+ Penn State, hated PA rival and last year's NIT champion, will come to the LC on December 5.
+ Siena, a team who has won games in consecutive NCAA tournys, comes to the LC on Nov. 21
+ The only other 2 teams in the A-10 to make the NCAA (Xavier and Dayton) both come to the LC on 1/20 and 2/24
+ Games with 2 power conference teams in Virginia Tech and St. John's at the Cathedral of college basketball, the Palestra on UPenn's campus.

Add to that away games against Georgetown and Seton Hall and you have one hell of a schedule, with all of the best games at home.

Giggity giggity.

See you later today!
