Nice article by the Temple News: The Temple News editorial board recently published this article, titled "Safety Endangered." The article talks about how safety at Temple extends beyond muggings to the homes themselves, and how much of the off campus housing is questionable. They end by saying that something needs to be done, or the housing issue is going to turn into an enrollment issue with the University. Kudos for recognizing this, we're proud of you TTN. If Temple continues to let in as many students as they do, but does not provide more housing, students will be forced further and further off campus. Not only does this fuel more problems such as those encountered in Yorktown, where students move into residential neighborhoods, but also creates huge safety issues for students having to walk in shady areas. Temple needs to address these issues immediately before a student is seriously injured or killed, which will happen eventually. They may not want to cut back on the enrollment now, but what happens to it then?
